Don your walking shoes and choose from different routes through the Leie region, all marked and described. On the Wandelroutes website you will find many routes, such as the Ooidonkroute route or the Langs Kattebeek route. Or hike to the Brielmeersen, a recreational area with a walking path along a branch of the old Leie waterway where you can also enjoy a snack and a drink.

For nature lovers who want to get sight of fauna and flora, the Zeverenbeek valley is the place to go. The Zeverenbeek valley in Deinze is a 200-hectare nature reserve, 55 hectares of which are recognized as a nature reserve and managed by Natuurpunt.
